Whether you’re a beginning golfer or someone who’s been playing for decades, there’s always room for improvement — that’s both the beauty and frustrating truth of the game.
Nobody knows that better than Eagle Crest School of Golf’s Director of Instruction Tam Bronkey. He’s been playing for more than 35 years and teaching as a PGA Pro for more than 17. Tam oversees all the School of Golf’s instructors and has put together a variety of clinics, schools and lessons for golfers of all levels.
MEET THE DIRECTOR:
Tam is a long-time Oregonian who has been playing golf for more than 35 years. He started as a junior golfer in Klamath Falls, where he quickly showed his natural talents and soon became one of the best junior players in the state. He graduated from the University of Oregon, where he spent a good deal of time playing on the men’s varsity team. Current course records under his belt include both Harbor Links Golf Club (63) and Shield Crest Golf Club (64).
After moving from Oregon to California to become a PGA Class A professional in 1998, Tam qualified for and competed in the PGA Tour’s L.A. Nissan Open at Riviera Country Club in 2001. His low round in tournament competition is 64 during a PGA Southern California Section event.
Before coming to Eagle Crest, Tam was the PGA Head Golf Professional at Marbella Country Club in San Juan Capistrano, California where he coached the 9th ranked 13-15 year-old player in the nation and successfully taught players of all ages and abilities.
Tam’s now thrilled to be back home in Oregon and looks forward to using his 17 years of teaching experience to instruct golfers here at Eagle Crest.
